Year 11 Information
This year is both a very important and a busy one for you.
Not only do you have work experience and exams, but you will also be completing your College application form online.
Your Lifeskills tutor will issue you with your username and password so that you can log on to the system.
The sooner you start to research your College choices the better.
This can be done via the UCAS Progress website or by looking at individual College websites.
There are also resources available in the Career Section of the school library to help you.
Attending College Open Days is very important in helping you make your final decision - details of times and dates will be posted on the board outside the Career Guidance Office as they become available.
Please be aware that Colleges not only look at your predicted grades when looking at your application, but will also take into account your attendance - this should ideally be at least 90% - and your reference from school.
They can refuse your application if these are not satisfactory.
If you would like to see a Career adviser, you can arrange to see Mrs Squires by appointment, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please keep an eye on the noticeboard outside the Careers guidance room for up to date information.
