School Comms

Getting in touch with us, getting in touch with you

We are one of the largest schools in the City and we want to make sure that we can share news with you and that you can contact us

Over the years, our preferred method of communication has been by paper, both for letters and Newsletters.

We need to "do our bit" to become as green as we can and therefore wish to reduce the amount of printing we do both in house and by third parties.

This will enable us to reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment.

It will also save money which can then be channelled into teaching and learning to the benefit of us all, staff, students and parents alike.

With this in mind, we would like all communication in future to be in electronic form.

For this initiative to work however, it is essential that you as parent or carer keep us up to date with your latest details, in particular your current e-mail address and mobile phone number

This will enable us to get information to you quickly, easily and more reliably

We appreciate that not all of you will have an email address at home and if you would like advice about setting one up, we would be only too happy to help.

If you would care to call the school and ask for any of the ICT Technicians, help is at hand

The best ways to contact us can be found here.

You can now pay for school lunches online via instant bank transfer, credit or debit card.

Use School Gateway to make online payments with a debit or credit card any time 24-7, via smartphone app or website.

You can also view school meal balances and top them up.

Minimum payment is £10.00 per transaction.

Aside from saving the school time and money on administration, School Gateway also makes paying for school items easier and more flexible for parents and reduces the amount of cash being carried by children on school premises.

We would encourage you to use it as part of our move towards becoming a cashless school.

If you have a smartphone, please download School Gateway from your app store (Android and iPhone).

The app shows the same information as the website PLUS it saves the school money when we send you a text message.
