What Crown Hills did for me - Crown Hills gave me friends for life and the springboard for my career. Having teachers passionate about sport and education gave me the focus and willingness to experience new sports and experiences. My 5 years at the school were filled with fun, plenty of football and a few detentions!

My mantra -The worst anyone can say to you is no. Think big and think outside the box.

Employment History - Doctor in the NHS since graduation plus management fellowship in the Department of Health (both roles are related)

What Crown Hills did for me - Gave me a chance to build my foundations. Being a foreign student meant that the support was vital. My GCSE grades allowed me to pursue the necessary A-levels for a career in medicine.

Rutland Partners London – Legal Associate dealing with Corporate and Commercial sitting within a legal team (April 2013 – August 2015 - London) Legal Associate role in a Management Consultancy firm in the heart of London. Involved in an Associate capacity but de facto with a wider portfolio spanning into contract formation, advising on corporate structure (both incorporated entities and charities), drafting (including pleadings), conduct of legal disputes, direct settlement negotiations and exploitation of ADR options, to the more peripheral assisting outside Counsel and Solicitors with trial preparation and legal research. Corporate / Commercial Contracts /Media and PR My experience extends to dealing with joint ventures, partnership agreements, purchasing and procurement of business, agency and franchise agreements, drafting standard terms of business. I have dealt with clients ranging from small business to international ventures working with a social media company. In addition I was also involved in advising retainer clients with aspects of media and PR for their business. Reviewing, negotiating and drafting agreements tailored to the client’s needs. Mergers and Acquisitions Experience in handling M&A transactions for companies in regulated industries where the intersection of business and government requires an integrated strategy for handling the many issues that arise in such transactions. I recently handled a pharmacy and acquisition with the value of 12million. Company formations and Trusts Dealing with business formation and trusts suited to the company’s individual needs. I recently dealt with a recruitment company and advising and forming the structure of the Company. Ensuring compliance in line with developments in regulations and legislation; and Dealing with matters relating to compliance of marketing, technology and advertising directly connected to the client’s business portfolio and understanding the regulations in conjunction with the client’s needs. Funds I have ascertained through my experience on various cases some funds experience in dealing with corporate, tax and financial regulation specialists I assisted clients, who are looking to invest existing funds in alternative investment funds, complete their projects with minimal hassle and cost effectively. Dispute Resolution Working with clients who invest in variety of industries mean that they naturally amerce themselves into a volatile environment volatile which unfamiliar situations in which disputes can often occur. This sometimes naturally forms part of an investment transaction and I have assisted and acquired some experience within this platform. Banking and Tax Dealing with banking and tax regulation in accordance with investment and funds control. Liaising with clients, lenders and other professionals

Crown Prosecution Service – (January 2012-Birmingham) Experiencing at first hand the difference between the independent and employed bar. I was given the opportunity to work on a murder case at the Warwick Crown Court.

Amicus (Assisting Lawyers for Justice on Death Row) – Caseworker (January 2011-Present) - Assisting Barristers and Advocates from UK and USA with individual capital punishment cases before the courts in USA.

King Street Chambers – Mini Pupillage (June 2009) (Leicester) Visiting different courts and understanding procedures and practices attached to these. Working with clients and Counsel directly in order to carry out research for opinions and defence statements.

MHM Solicitors / PPL Lawyers – USP Team Co-ordinator (January 2007- June 2010) (Leicester/Northampton) Development of leadership skills along with detailed knowledge of property transactions both residential and commercial. Enhanced my knowledge on property litigation whilst developing working relationships with clients, Solicitors and Counsel

Veja & Co Solicitors – Vac Scheme (October - December 2008) (London – Leicester) Ascertained the knowledge to prepare trial bundles, attending client conferences and understanding client instructions. Reviewed defence statements and negotiated Counsel fees.

What Crown Hills did for me - It provided me with the sound foundation to build a steady career on.

The academic teaching and life skills provided me with a network of support which enabled me to achieve set goals.

Favourite Memory - Many favourite memories – passing my GCSEs was one of them

Education History - 2009-2011 – Attended QE and studied Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Economics - 2011-2015 – Attended De Montfort University to study Pharmacy. Graduated with a Masters degree in Pharmacy in 2015.

Employment History - Summer of 2013 – Worked as a production operative for Samworth Brothers - 2015-2016 – Did training in a pharmacy in Leicester to become a fully qualified pharmacist. - Now – Working as a pharmacist in different areas of the country

What Crown Hills did for me - I enjoyed learning from all my teachers, and through this experience I appreciated the fact that education is important to be successful in the world. I therefore decided to go into higher education. - I became more confident as a person, and I developed better communication and teamwork skills, which are all necessary for the world of work.

My mantra -“Follow your heart” – from Life Skills - All of my teachers said that the last two terms of Year 11 are most crucial, as the decisions that you make and actions you take now will have an impact upon whether you achieve your goals or not

Favourite Memory - Far too difficult to choose a single memory, rather its easier (particular as you get older, when they start to blur together!) to look back at a collection of memories:

• People!...Friends and new friends! Teachers, who inspired me going above and beyond and believed in me.

• Art and Design projects, which literally took over my life.

• That new stationery set and rucksack upgrade in Y7.

• Asking myself “when will I ever use this in real life?” about twice a week (You will directly or indirectly!)

• The total downpour of rain that inevitably started during most sports days….and strangely skiing.

• Seeing what was a GIANT TV getting wheeled in from the back of the room and knowing it was going to be an easy lesson.

• Those perfect comebacks!

• Picking teams before lunch and those matches on the massive field.

• Amazing trip to France

• Starring in King Arthur and performing arts in general.

• Winning a prestigious city wide competition and appearing in the Leicester Mercury….,which I have kept until today.

What Crown Hills did for me -Crown Hills in my experience was a school which thrived on its caring almost family ethos balanced against an endeavour to achieve excellence for its students. Crown Hills’ gave me a rounded education; an acquisition of key skills and knowledge, happy experiences, supplemented by core values that were instilled in me of respect, tolerance and aspiration.
